Hello beautiful person! Welcome to my new website and blog! A lot has changed since my last entry, so I think an introduction is needed!

I am Dani, a 30 something year old Mexican American artist living in Yokuts land, California, with my wife Bobbi, our housemates, and our four darling pets (including my chihuahua baby, Peaches). I am neurodivergent, riding the waves of ADHD, major depression, anxiety disorder, and other fun stuff. I am queer and polyamorous, living and loving with as much enthusiasm as I can in such a tumultuous country. I am also a practicing bruja, and I like to talk about spirituality a lot. 

What’s been going on with my life lately: I just finished a certification course from UCSD in Children’s Book Illustration. I am starting work as a full-time artist. I am in the midst of a spiritual transformation, shedding my old beliefs and limitations, and learning to fully live. I have a patreon tier where I make stickers and other flat goodies and send them out every month, and I’m so proud that I’ve kept this up since 2023. 

I have a lot of plans for 2025, but also lots of fear of the unknown. As I just finished school, I’m now at that point where I have to ask myself, what’s next? And I don’t know! I have a lot of stories in my head that I could start writing my own book. But I also have the option of just being an illustrator in the children’s book industry, and start working on a good portfolio for that. Or I can take a break from children’s book jobs and work on the big art project that I’ve been cooking up. I’m not sure. 

I’m here on this Earth to find joy and love and share it with you! I’m still not sure what that will look like, but I know I will make it happen.
